What is ProEnglish’s stance on immigration?
Answer – ProEnglish is a language advocacy group. Although official English is often tied to immigration, we focus exclusively on immigrants in this country learning our nation’s language, English. We oppose blanket amnesty because it would allow 11 million or more immigrants to bypass the English proficiency exam required for citizenship and in turn cost taxpayers millions of dollars for multilingual translation services.
