What is pro rata?
The monthly access fee for your mobile service is generally charged one month in advance on your bill each. However, on your first bill, an additional portion of this monthly access fee is payable from the date your service was connected until the end of your first bill cycle. This is called pro-rata. Naturally, should your service be suspended or cancelled at anytime during the month, any unused portion of the monthly access fee you have been paying in advance will be credited back to your account on the very next bill.
