What is private security?
Private security equips learners with a broad range of knowledge and skills to pursue a career in private and public security and relate areas. Security primarily deals with protection of people, property, resources, and/or information against criminal acts, such as theft; those involved in security are also active in studying and controlling, or at least managing, the causes of losses and prevent future losses. Modern security measures often include complex, technology-based security systems; as such, there is a need for skilled professionals who can design, implement, install, manage, monitor, repair, and/or troubleshoot such security measures.
