What is PrimeYield CAA?
CAA, the third pillar in the PrimeYield tool suite, is used to model the impact of random particle defects on the design. Random particles can cause open or short faults in the design—the impact of which can be modeled by considering layout and defect density. Yield loss due to random particle defects is something that must be considered at all design technology nodes, not just 65nm.
