What is pressure forming and what types of parts does it allow Joslyn to form?
Pressure forming is a thermoforming process that uses pressure to push the heated sheet to be formed against the mold surface as opposed to using vacuum to pull the sheet against the mold. Pressure forming requires slightly different tooling than does standard vacuum forming to achieve the desired effects. Products that need to have various textures on the same surface would typically utilize the pressure forming technique as well as products looking to have an absolute crisp edge.
