In order to better assess how much strontium and magnesium would be delivered by the use of this brand of lime, I determined how much calcium, magnesium, and strontium were present using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). Details of the method are given at the end of the article for those who may want to reproduce it on other materials. The results are shown in Table 3.
