What is prerequisite knowledge for being able to enter the Guildhall Software development program?
The short answer is that we expect the equivalent of a Bachelors in Computer Science. To be more precise however, we expect fluency in C++, which traditionally people with such a degree have. If your undergraduate degree focuses on Java instead, you have to ensure a high level of C++ competency yourself. Take classes that involve C++, and do all your projects in C++ where you can. Your C++ knowledge does not need to be game specific, you will learn all of that at the Guildhall. Make sure you understand all the low level consequences of the language. On the math side, most topics will be covered from the ground up, but having a strong background in Linear Algebra will ensure a smoother ride.
