What is Prempro prescribed for?
Prempro is a medication commonly prescribed for patients in need of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The drug falls within a category of drugs known as progestins containing conjugated estrogens and medroxyprogesterone acetate. Prempro is used after menopause has started in women with a uterus to reduce moderate to severe hot flashes; to treat moderate to severe dryness, itching, and burning, in and around the vagina; and to help reduce your chances of getting osteoporosis (thin weak bones).
