What is pregnenelone?
Pregnenelone is synthesized directly from cholesterol and is the precursor to progesterone, estrogens, testosterone, DHEA, and Cortisol. Many consider it to be one of the most important hormones as it may be able to regulate the levels of all these steroid hormones. Based on animal studies, pregnenelone appears to be a potent memory enhancer. Other studies have found that it increases motivation while reducing stress related fatigue.
