What is Pre-licensing Education (PE)?

0

Effective June 4, 2003, Pennsylvania implemented a Pre-licensing Education (PE) requirement. Students may prepare in either of two formats – Traditional classroom study of 24-hours with a residential instructor or through an independent self-study program. Either format must be approved by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. Students who successfully complete either course will be presented with a pre-licensing education certificate from their PE provider. The student will have to present the PE certificate at the Prometric testing site in order to sit for their actual state exam.
