What is PPO Thermoplastic Material?
PPO is a raw polymer that is naturally opaque and demonstrates superior high performance properties. PPO can be substantially modified for demanding applications by integrating rubber impact modifiers and other alloying agents to the original formulation. Standard PPO is difficult to process, however, when the right blend is achieved, plastic injection molding and manufacturing couldn t be easier. Noryl® is often referred to as a type of PPO, but in fact, it is a blend of both PPO and polystyrene. PPO Thermoplastic Properties Polyphenylene oxide has a good balance of thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties, which make it suitable for a variety of applications, especially when some of its excellent properties can be used to their full extent. When compared to other engineering resins, PPO has a higher heat deformation resistance and is available at a lower cost. PPO thermoplastics have a wide high performance temperature range from 40 to 130°C. With low moisture absorption charac
