What is PPC or Pay-Per-Click?

0

Pay per click (PPC) is an advertising technique used by advertising networks such as Google and Yahoo to promote products or services online. Advertisers bid on “keywords” that they believe their target market would type in the search engine, when they are looking for their type of product or service. For example, if an advertiser sells Dubai Merchandise, he/she would bid on the keyword “Merchandise in Dubai”, hoping a user would type those words in the search engine, see their ad, click on it and buy. These ads will appear next to and sometimes above the search engine results on the page. The advertiser pays only when the user clicks on the ad. Many companies exist today, Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing, which was formerly Overture, are the largest Pay-per-click advertisers and publishers in the world.
