what is poverty like in third world countries?
The poor in these countries make even the poorest people in the U.S. look somewhat privileged by comparison. Things most people in the modernized world take for granted like clean water, food, shelter are things these people struggle with daily. Disease is more rampant because medicine is far harder to come by. People are starving to death while others in the world throw away enough food in a day to feed an entire family in the 3rd world. These people lack the opportunities for advancement in their countries and many of the goverments simply exploit the poor as a cheap labor source and there is little to no laws to protect them. This is just scratching the surface though of a worldwide problem.
