What is Positive Punishment?
Positive Punishment is a type of conditioning/training where something given to a subject (dog/human etc.) after a behavior is displayed, thus decreasing the frequency in which the particular behavior is displayed. Positive Punishment lies in one of the quadrants of Operant Conditioning. Example of Positive Punishment: Any leash correction or chain pop, spray in the face, shaker can, etc. Dog Language: If I do something that my guardian does not like he/she does something I do not like back to me. I won’t be doing that again.
