What Is Positive Behavior Support?
• The Positive Behavior Support process assists adults in improving overall classroom and school climate to achieve higher academic performance for all students. • This is achieved through assisting schools in developing school-wide positive behavior support plans, professional development on best practices, working with teachers to master strategies, and providing assistance in developing behavior plans for groups of students and individual students. • PBS has been implemented nationwide and is showing wonderful initial results for the last three years in Wake County Schools.
