Positive affirmations are those encouraging words you tell yourself when you want to boost your morale or you simply want to energize yourself into doing something you desire. That little voice you talk to when you want to do something and you debate with when you doubt that you are capable of doing something is all part of positive affirmation. Every word you say to boost your performance and thoughts are actually positive affirmation. Your positive affirmation reflects the thoughts and beliefs you may have obtained or formed when you were a child. However, they may no longer be appropriate for you now. An example would be a failure experienced when you were still young.
