what is POSCO’s growth strategy?
Finex is the technology of next generation iron-making that Posco has developed over the last 15 years. It is an innovative technology with simplified raw material management, easier operational control. Besides, it is a far more environment-friendly process compared to the existing blast-furnace process. Finex uses fine iron ore and non-coking fine coal. Therefore, you don’t need sintering plants and coke ovens. With this technology we can achieve significantly lower construction cost and operating cost. We have already decided to bring Finex technology to our Indian project. We believe our Indian plant will be one of the most competitive integrated steel plants all over the world.
