Any Christian man who is engaging in sexual immorality of any kind is a man in conflict. He is a man who believes one thing and yet his actions are not matching up with his beliefs. The National Council on Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity has defined sexual addiction as “engaging in persistent and escalating patterns of sexual behavior acted out despite increasing negative consequences to self and others.” In other words, an individual who is addicted to a sex behavior will continue to engage in these behaviors despite facing potential health risks, financial problems, shattered relationships or even arrest.
