The “Aging” option within the cPanel control panel allows you to tell the server to automatically delete READ emails after a set number of days. This option is set under the “Add/Modify/Remove Accounts” section of the cPanel control panel and can be set on a per POP3 email account basis. This is only really useful if you have set your email client (such as Outlook or Thunderbird) to “leave email on server” and is designed to stop emai from building up on the account. The Aging system will NOT delete “unread” emails nor will it delete emails which you have viewed via IMAP or the web mail systems (only those downloaded via POP3).
