What is pledgeship?
A pledge period should consist of opportunities that promote academics, leadership, friendship, and service. During this time, the pledges participate in activities that allow them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to function as active members of the house and Purdue Cooperative System. Factors that motivate the pledges throughout the period should include pride, acceptance, understanding, and the emergence of self-respect and confidence.
