What is Placement Testing? What is the purpose of Placement Tests?
During the morning of Friday and Saturday of Summer Orientation you will participate in Placement Testing for english, math and a foreign language. Nursing and Business Division majors will take an additional placement test specific to their program. Any materials required for these tests will be provided (calculators, pencils, etc). The information obtained from these placement tests will be used to develop your academic schedule for the Fall 2008 semester. These tests do not determine your admission to the University. The tests are used to place students in a Math, English, and Foreign Language course where he/she will succeed. As a result, students should not be stressed regarding these tests! Please note that ALL students are required to take placement tests, no exceptions (this includes students who have taken post secondary courses).
