What is Phoenix Housing?
Phoenix Housing is a Shelter Plus care Program Offered by Project Concern. Shelter Plus Care is a federal program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmnet (HUD) designed to provide rental subsidies and supportive services to homeless individual with diasbilities and their families. Participants live in housing Project Concern leases from private landlords. Participants pay 30% of thier adjusted annual gross income for rent. In order to receive this assistance, participants are required to maintain consistent and ongoing supportive services.
