Philosophy is the pursuit of knowledge. Any subject could be analyzed philosophically, but philosophy professors tend to discuss certain subjects, such as epistemology (evidence and knowledge), metaphysics (reality), ethics (morality), and logic (reasoning). If you get a BA in philosophy, it might help you get various random jobs because it is a kind of “general education” that proves you are capable of thinking well. If you get a MA or PhD in philosophy, you could get a job as a teacher. You would then teach something from a subject, such as the ones already mentioned.
