What is Performance Review?
The University introduced Performance Review for all staff in 2002-2003 as part of phase I of the University’s Rewarding and Developing Staff initiative. The annual performance review meeting is an opportunity to receive and discuss feedback on performance; to chart progress and identify achievements; to consider your individual contribution to the Section, Department or Centre and, where relevant, to the University; and to identify training and development needs relevant to your role. The aim is to ensure that members of staff have a structured framework for reflecting on their work, which operates on the basis of effective two-way communication.
