What is Performance Halter and is my horse eligible to be shown in that class?

0

Horses who have earned a Performance Register of Merit (ROM) may be shown in the Performance Halter Classes. Eligible horses have (a) earned a Racing Register of Merit, (b) earned a Performance Register of Merit prior to January 1, 2010, or (c) have earned a Performance Register of Merit after January 1, 2010 so long as their record reflects that they have earned at least 5 or more AQHA performance points during the career in competitions other than Showmanship at Halter. Earned points must be officially recorded in AQHA records to be considered. Proof that the horse meets the eligibility requirements must be provided to Show Management at time of entry. The ROM applies to the horse. A horse may not be shown in Performance Halter and in an age division halter class at the same show in the same division (ie horse cannot show in Amateur Performance Halter Mares and Amateur Aged Mares Halter to the same judge).
