What is Patch Tracking?
This is a feature for EDACS systems which allows multiple trunking IDs which have been combined under one Patch trunking ID to be monitored. When a Patch ID is created for temporary use of a special nature, it usually takes the place of one or more normal trunking IDs. These normal IDs cease to exist so no traffic is heard on them. Using the Patch Tracking feature allows you to once again hear the activity on this new, temporary ID. For more details, see page 51 of the BC780XLT Operating Guide.
