What is Passive Search?
Passive search is ProWebSurfer’s term for setting preferences on what you are looking for, and using the ad replacement service to serve up results. This is a flexible service: you do not have to use it at all, you can use it selectively, or all the time. You decide. The value of this depends on what mood you are in. If you have something coming up (a birthday, a purchase, a vacation, etc.), you can let ProWebSurfer serve up links to help you find what you are looking for (weather, hotels, gifts, and so on.) We call it “passive search” because it happens in the background, as opposed to “active search” which is what you do when you go to your favorite search engine.
