You can thank stars like Gwyneth Paltrow for the late 1990’s pashmina phase that ripped through the fashion world. Once expensive and unattainable, true pashminas are made from the wool of pashmina goats that live in the himalyas. These days “pashminas” can be found made of many fabrics including synthetics. To today’s fashionista the term generally brings the words “really big scarf” to mind.
