What is Parametric Searching? How is this finding different from keyword searching?
Parametric searching is the ability to specify many types of attributes and criteria for a search. Krakatoa Catalog Publisher supports text strings, string arrays (groups of strings), numeric ranges (with user definable units), Boolean (yes/no) and enumerated types (fixed lists). Krakatoa also supports classification of data into categories, which assist the user in narrowing the search by navigating either a class tree or graphical collection of images. The number of items found at each step in the search process is continually displayed.
