What is OUT’s relationship to LGBT and allied state and national organizations?
OUT is not formally affiliated with any state or national organization. Although OUT is a federation of local groups, OUT intends to work closely with national and state organizations (e.g. HRC, NGLTF, National Center for Lesbian Rights, Equality Florida, ACLU of Florida’s LGBT Advocacy Project, etc.) In the upcoming weeks, OUT representatives will be meeting with representatives of national and state LGBT and allied organizations to develop plans to implement long-term working relationships. Also OUT will be inviting state and national organizations to future statewide meetings to give presentations and answer questions, and to inform OUT members about projects and initiatives relevant to local organizations.
