What is Outline Planning Permission (O.P.P)?
This establishes whether a development is acceptable “in principle”. If the outline application is approved a further application must be made for the details of the scheme. An application for detailed permission after receipt of OPP is sometimes known as a “reserved matters” application”. You can reasonably expect that any building plot advertised for sale will already have Outline Planning Permission.
