What is our approach to treating Lyme Disease?
This fastidious infection can be treated at all stages with a holistic approach combining well tolerated IV infusions of colloidal silver (silver hydrosol) with a 3 component herbal formulation. Oral colloidal silver is frequently added. Antibiotics may be used in selected cases. A state of the art serologic test for Lyme disease, the direct fluorescent antibody/flow cytometry may be used for diagnosis and management. Generally the program is continued for 6-12 months in chronic cases, with shorter courses if the case is acute. Treatment is stopped after the patient is symptom free for 1 month. Supplements are added throughout the course for immune and energy support and for management of Herxheimer reactions (die off reaction to bacterial breakdown products) which may appear at the start of treatment.
