What is Orpheus in the Underworld?
First poster is right, and yet he is wrong. – Orpheus is the greatest musician, the son of Morpheus, the god of sleep and dreams, and Calliope, the Muse of stories. – Orpheus loses his beloved wife, the nymph Eurydike, when she is bitten by a viper. – He goes to the underworld, to beg the king (Hades) and queen (Persephone) of the land of the dead.
