What is orientation like? What does OSU do to retain students?

OSU START, CONNECT, and Odyssey help students through the registration process and provide many opportunities to meet students and faculty members and to become familiar with OSU facilities and services. During START, students meet with advisors, register for classes, and learn more about what OSU has to offer. CONNECT is a week-long orientation to campus with activities such as President Risser’s Welcome BBQ, open houses, a dance, college and major activities, hiking and rafting trips, convocation, and more! OSU Odyssey is the one-credit first-year student orientation course recommended for all new students. Join approximately 20 other first-year or transfer students in exploring academic success, positive relationships with faculty and students, career and academic opportunities, campus resources, and time management strategies.
