What is organic shampoo and how is it different from regular shampoo?
Legitimately organic shampoo is made of ingredients that are not chemically altered and come from plants grown without pesticides. Soaps called “sulfates” are present in most non-organic shampoos. Though they are generally derived from coconuts, sulfates are not natural in the sense that they are created through processes of chemical extraction. They are generally (after water) the main ingredient in mainstream shampoos and can damage your hair with frequent usage. Avoid Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, and worst of all avoid Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate. Organic shampoos should not include sulfates and therefore are much gentler on hair and skin. I hope that helps!
