What is Open-MX?

Open-MX is a software implementation of Myricom’s Myrinet Express protocol. It aims at providing high-performance message passing over any generic Ethernet hardware. Open-MX implements the capabilities of the MX firmware (running in Myri-10G NICs) as a driver in the Linux kernel. A user-space library exposes the MX interface to legacy applications.
