What is oneness pentecostalism?
Greetings Friend, Being involved with the United Pentecostlal Church (UPC), the largest Oneness Pentecostal organization, and/or affiliate Churches for over ten years and being a minister in their ranks for about five, I have a fairly good understanding of their doctrine. While I will explain their most common beliefs, it would be best if you read some of their books and literature, especially books by David K. Bernard, to get a better understanding. First, their view of the Godhead: they believe their is one God, who has made Himself knowm through three titles: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These are not separate deities, or separate persons as they are in the Trinity. It is one God in three roles. Sort of like you are one person, but you have many roles. Maybe, you are a son/daughter, a friend, an employee/employer. This does not mean you are three different persons – you are one person. God is Spirit that is His essence.
