What is one similarity between the structure of the small and large intestine?

0

Both intestines have to do with the digestion of food but in different ways. Whereas the small intestine is not as wide as the large intestine it is much longer. Here is where food finished being digested and is absorbed into the blood stream by millions of microscopic finger like projections called villi which line the inside walls of the small intestine. The large intestine is where the solid undigested food, called feces,is formed and the proper amount of water is re-absorbed into the body.
