Sacramento Bee reported today that sources close to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will announce tomorrow that 5,000 state workers will be laid off next month. The Bee’s Web site buzzed with comments that expressed little sympathy for those about to join the ranks of the unemployed. “Welcome to the real world,” one commenter posted.
