What is OMRI and why is it important?
A. OMRI is the Organic Materials Review Institute which authenticates the “organic-ness” of fertilizer products. The standards are rather rigorous, but if OMRI is mentioned on a label, it means the product has passed inspection and that the fertilizer can be used for organic production. To us, it also indicates product purity. Our OMRI listed product is Guarantee® Organic 0-0-1 Liquid Seaweed Extract. NutriVeg® 5-4-4 All Natural, Organic Fertilizer is similarly listed under MOFGA, the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.
