What is OMR Pilot?
– 6/24/2004 On July 1, 2004, the Office of Mental Retardation (OMR) will begin to pilot HCSIS Financial Management functionality and PROMISe billing in four, pilot counties, Berks, Dauphin, Delaware and Westmoreland. PROMISe (Provider Reimbursement and Operations Management Information System) is the new HIPAA-compliant claims processing and management information system implemented by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW). The pilot will allow OMR to better understand the changes that counties and providers will have to make to support new policies and to use the new system functionality. As the pilot progresses, OMR will be working with the pilot counties and providers to learn from their experiences. Lessons learned will be documented and shared with the other counties and providers along with proactive activities that can be undertaken to prepare for future implementations. THANK YOU TO THE CURRENT PILOT COUNTIES FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK IN PREPARATION FOR THE PILOT!!!
