What is Ofwats view?
Ofwat supports the project. The regulator requires us to provide additional supplies to ensure enough water is available during a very dry year, and approved our plans for the plant in our business plan for 2005 – 2010. The Consumer Council for Water, which represents customers’ interests, also supports the project as a cost-effective means of ensuring that supplies can be maintained.
