Observational learning is learning by watching others. For classical conditioning, we look for a response. The response that is given can be learned after several attempts. Such as giving food to a dog. When we open the can of food, the dog responds by coming and drooling. Operant conditioning is is a behavior followed by either punishment or reinforcement. For punishment, when a child does something bad they are punished by it. they can receive an extra chore or can’t stay out late. For reinforcement, we want the behavior to contiue, in doing so, we would add something good when a child finishes their homework early. Operant conditioning relates to observational learning because children learn from the mistakes that they have made. Or vice versa, a child knows that if they do something well they would get somthing in return.
