What is numbness/ paralysis in pregnancy?

0

I had this same thing when I was about 25 weeks pregnant with my second child. Only my leg and foot were also numb. This lasted for about 2 hours. I worked for a Neurologist at the time so she did a Neuro exam on me and everything came back normal so I called my OB and she ran some blood work which came back normal. Everything resolved and never occurred again. My OB is still puzzled about it to this day. When I was last in her office for my 14 week OB check for my third pregnancy she said she is still puzzled and has never seen anything like it with any of her OB patients. She has chalked it up to a nerve incident with the pressure of the baby but isn’t totally convinced that is what it was. Your friend needs to make her physician aware of the incident if she hasn’t already. Stroke symptoms are very similar to what she experienced also.
