NSCC has formed an H1N1 Preparedness Team, which is comprised of employees from several areas of the College. The H1N1 Preparedness Team has developed a pandemic plan for the College and has identified the following practices to protect the safety and well-being of NSCC staff and students: adopting enhanced cleaning protocols; providing hand-washing stations to staff and students; providing public health advice to staff and students on flu prevention; developing a contingency plan for business continuity; communicating with provincial and national public health agencies for guidance and up-to-date information on H1N1 influenza and sharing this information through www.nscc.ca (students and general public) and OurNSCC (staff). For more information on NSCC’s preparations to protect staff and students, please visit the “Flu Info” section on employee and external websites with weekly communication updates and links to public health information and FAQ section.
