Novell is a software and technical services company that has provided network management tools to Purdue Calumet in the past, including NetWare, GroupWise, and the Novell Client software. Novell Client is the program previously responsible for authenticating user credentials (usernames and passwords) when logging in to the network at Purdue Calumet. Over the past few years, Information Services has phased out Novell products in favor of networking software made by Microsoft. In fact, the removal of the Novell Client software was one of the final steps in this process, which will simplify networking at PUC. All users will now access the network by logging in to Microsoft Windows. The new login screen is shown below.
