What is novel about the NFCRC?
While the NFCRC will have the traditional university center research and education components, it will be novel as a university center by employing, as well, major components in beta testing and technology transfer. The beta testing will serve as a catalyst for bridging between research and commercial deployment, for bridging between the university and industry, for capturing the imagination of the international market, and for serving as a foundation for the technology transfer. The technology transfer will offer an “open” information clearinghouse for the market to visit and access.
