• Alcohol (if you’re under 21) • Appliances with an exposed heating element • Candles / incense • Hot plates • Illegal drugs • Microwaves • Music amplifiers • Pets • Refrigerators over 3.0 cubic feet drawing more than 2.0 Amps • Rice cookers • Space heaters • Toasters / toaster ovens • Waterbeds • Weapons Remember, all appliances must have an approved UL rating. Appliance or equipment, such as ceiling fans, may never be directly wired to a residence hall room. Irons and small appliances, such as toasters and coffee makers, may be used in designated areas of each hall, but not in student rooms.
