What is Norwegian culture like?
Probably lots of cultures within the country, even if it is more homogeneous than say, US or Canada. Urban / rural, young / old, immigrant / long-time Norwegian families, conservative / liberal etc etc. In general, Norway has a fair amount of wealth, thanks to North Sea oil, but doesn’t spend like crazy, rather they save as a hedge against the day the oil runs dry. One keystone of Norwegian culture is that society takes care of its members (health care, education, infrastructure). Wealth is more even distributed than, for example, in the US. Pop culture? Norway is very aware of international trends in music and the arts. Literacy is probably highest in the world (maybe Iceland is slightly higher). Norwegians are fairly reserved, quiet, non-boastful. But of course many are different from this stereotype.
