There are about 20 different types of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Mantle Cell Lymphoma is one that is very rare. Lymphoma is a general term for cancer in the lymphatic system. There are two types of cells that can be affected . . T Cells or B Cells . . the Mantle Cell lymphoma strikes the B Cells. Mantle cell lymphoma usually presents in men over the age of 50. This is an aggressive disease, but it is generally treated in a similar fashion as other lymphoma’s. Treatment for advanced cases can consist of Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Steroid therapy, Biological therapy, and/or Immunotherapy.
